6m2. (2.4 x 2.5m) of space.
The opportunity to exhibit as part of the Common Ground Collective gave rise to this project. The above dimensions are the wall space allocated to my work.
While I could have sent new works, paintings and ceramics, the pull of current research into Quantum science theories including Wave/particle energy, entanglement and superposition overtook the need to show off new stuff.
So began the journey into shipping space, through space, to a new space, its already connected to, energetically speaking.
This piece is 6m2 of space. A recycled mattress protector cut to 2.4 x 2.5 with resin and pigment that was shipped to my studio from the UK 2 years ago, compressed into a small post box. The pigment changes in direct light. I wonder how the light in the UK would differ from Australia?

This work was the initial concept development for shipping space. From this I was able to determine how I could ship space to reflect my intentions while allowing the materials to show me variables I could not have foreseen.
